AMC Entertainment Promotes Key Executives in Leadership Reshuffle

AMC Entertainment has announced a series of major executive promotions, according to Deadline.com. Strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to navigate the evolving theatrical landscape. Several longstanding executives in marketing, legal, public relations, and business development were promoted by the largest movie theater chain in the world.

Carrie Trotter Elevated to SVP of Marketing

Carrie Trotter has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Marketing, having previously worked as Vice President of Loyalty, where she led the popular AMC Stubs program. In her new position, Trotter will oversee all marketing initiatives and report to Dan Ellis, AMC’s Chief Operations, Development, and Marketing Officer.

Marketing and U.S. are now under the supervision of Ellis. The departments of Theatre Operations, Food & Beverage, Development, and Facilities, Sight & Sound, applauded Trotter for his ability to enhance AMC’s connection with customers through loyalty and engagement.

Ryan Noonan Named SVP of Public Relations

Ryan Noonan, who has been an AMC veteran for 14 years and joined the company in 2010, has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Public Relations. Noonan has been the public voice for AMC during one of the most transformative decades in cinema history since 2011, leading its communications strategy.

Noonan will continue to manage external media relations, press engagement, and communication strategy in his new role, with a direct report to CEO Adam Aron.

Legal Department Sees Major Promotions

Following his interim service, Edwin (Eddie) Gladbach has been named Senior Vice President, President, General Counsel, and Secretary on the legal side. Gladbach will continue reporting to CEO Adam Aron.

Gladbach will be the new reporting location for Kelly Schemenauer, who has been elevated to Vice President, Associate General Counsel. AMC’s governance and compliance operations are expected to be strengthened by both as the company expands its global footprint.

Ellen Copaken Transitions to SVP of Business Development

Ellen Copaken, who used to be the SVP of Marketing, will take on a newly created role as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Her focus in this role is on strategic partnerships, brand collaborations, and new revenue opportunities to diversify AMC’s business model beyond traditional exhibition.
